College Intern - Process Tooling Product Development

What a College Intern - Process Tooling Product Development does at HP:

  • We are looking for intern-talents who can assist our current core team of engineers who will be developing & delivering products and solutions to HP's next generation of Thermal InkJet (TIJ) Print Technology, picking up learning in the process.
  • Interns will be assigned mentors & will undertake engineering projects that will supplement development work of the core team of engineers.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on tooling design, product design, process development, product quality development, writing systems, test & audit tools, reliability testing.

 

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

  • Bachelor undergraduate in Mechanical/Design Engineering with some experience in mechanical design, systems test, statistical analysis, analytical/experimental techniques.
  • Ability to partner & work independently.
  • Ability to apply engineering fundamentals & concepts.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Failure Analysis and characterization.
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Design components/subsystems using CAD.
  • Integrate new designs into existing processes.
  • Ability to generate test plans, provide short-loop test methods and tools to allow risk assessment.
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with team members from other disciplines, cultures, organizations.
  • Teamwork and ability to collaborate and communicate ideas is highly valued.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Able to commit for a full-time internship starting in May 2025, for a period of 5-6 months.
