This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

CUSTOMER

  • Demonstrative ability to understand business requests and data infrastructure to devise an analysis that addresses the business problem.
  • Use a wide range of programing languages (e.g., Python), use of ETL tools (Alteryx) and techniques for extracting and preparing data, applying statistics and various advanced analytics, along with business acumen to extract insights from the big data.
  • Collaborate with other partners, such as data and business analysts, to develop scalable and sustainable complex geospatial analytical solutions that retains long term benefit to the business.
  • Strong visualization and mapping skills to tell and illustrate stories that clearly convey the meaning of results to decision-makers and stakeholders at every level of technical understanding.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Solicit and offer ideas for improving business processes through insights with the objective of improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Educate the organization on geospatial analysis methodologies, data manipulation and visualization techniques.
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

EMPLOYEE / TEAM

  • Provide industry knowledge for own area of expertise, Geospatial Analytics to colleagues and partners.
  • Collaborate with teammates to formulate geospatial solutions to support branch/ATM network planning and distribution strategies.
  • Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork; ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
  • Identify opportunities, leverage data related solutions to drive business productivity, and implement measures to enhance effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Work effectively as a team, supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives and providing client services.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer within the team and other business units, including participation in cross-functional groups or committees.
  • Demonstrated passionate analytical thinker with track record of delivering business impact and results through developing and executing on innovative analytics solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of using data to understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening, and what can be done to resolve the issue.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and run multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of geospatial analysis methodologies, data manipulation and visualization techniques with preference to Esri – Arc Pro, Business Analyst, Alteryx, Python, and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of demographic, business, retail, and financial datasets (e.g., PRIZM, etc.)

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, and demonstrated ability to digest complex information and summarize in a clear, concise fashion (for executive-level consumption)
  • Very strong comfortability in accessing large data sources, performing mining, extractions, and manipulations to uncover relevant data findings and big picture stories.
  • Strong analytically-anchored problem-solving skills – a logical and strategic thinker with strong critical reasoning skills, proactively identifies risks and issues, recommends solutions, challenges the status quo.
  • Understanding of customer analyses that provide insights on customer acquisition, purchase behavior, and Market trends.
  • Agile, adaptable, “can-do” attitude, high degree of responsiveness and initiative
  • Enthusiastic and focused self-starter who can work with minimal supervision to strict deadlines and is able to prioritize, multitask, and manage various projects simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree in Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Urban Planning, or Retail Planning
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, Python, SQL, other programming languages, ArcGIS (Business/Network/Spatial Analyst modules), ESRI Enterprise & Desktop
  • Knowledge of DataMart's / EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse)
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud service platforms preferrable.
  • 3+ years of progressive and relevant experience in GIS consulting, retail network planning, branch/store distribution strategy, development of geospatial solutions
