Summary:

Determines, coordinates, and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels. Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Ensures department is managed economically, efficiently, and effectively by monitoring supply levels within.

Responsibilities:

Monitors and improves methods and procedures for ordering, receiving, issuing, charges and reconciliation of inventory. Assures staff maintains the highest level of customer service, timeliness of all duties, and follow all profession and regulatory standards.Ensures staff compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies, including those regarding supply distribution and storage as well as employee safety.Acts as a liaison between accounts payable and purchasing to process discrepancies and invoices, receipts and/or purchase orders.Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.Assists the Director with planning, coordinating, and performing various duties, including but not limited to budgetary compliance, and determining/maintaining stock levels.Responsible for ensuring that all warehouse functions are completed accurately and timely. Keep records of incoming and outgoing hospital shipments and prepares items for shipment. Responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets hospital standards for safety, security, and productivity.Develops knowledge of medical supplies stocked within the department to include usage in treatment of patients. Must understand what product is being requested for patient care. Conducts physical inspections and performs all duties related to par-stock maintenance utilizing computer systems and software. Accountable for timely reconciliation of patient charges and credits. Must be proficient in supply automation process. Be familiar with Infection Control practices associated with durable medical equipment.Other duties as assigned.
