India

Revantage's India operations, including a Center of Excellence in Gurugram, have been managed through partnerships with service providers like Wipro. Revantage has set up its global capability center in Bengaluru (GCC). As a key leadership role, Revantage is looking to appoint an Assistant Vice President in India to support the set-up of India unit and subsequently support both the expansion of legal offshoring teams in India and the delivery of best in class legal support services as part of the global Revantage Legal operation.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Assistant Vice President - Legal is responsible for driving legal, compliance and corporate governance matters affecting the business. This position reports to the Head of Legal, India, and shall act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership, aligning compliance and governance frameworks with business objectives and supporting long-term organizational growth.

Primary Role

  • Legal & Compliance Management: Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which it operates. Develop and implement the compliance framework for India to identify, assess and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and transactions. Work with Revantage regional legal heads to develop and implement common policies and procedures to ensure compliance with law and policies. Anticipate regulatory developments and proactively mitigate risks.

  • Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and partners. Ensure that contracts align with business objectives and legal requirements. Manage contract disputes and resolution processes.

  • Corporate Governance: Advise on corporate governance matters, managing Board and shareholder meetings and corporate law filings.

  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.

  • Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes. Coordinate with external legal counsel as necessary.

  • Building and Leading Legal Offshoring in India: Establish and manage legal offshoring operations in India to support global business needs. Ensure seamless integration of the Indian legal team with global operations. Develop processes and systems to optimize efficiency and quality of legal services provided from India.

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the legal team within the GCC. Provide training and development opportunities for team members. Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate and communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders within Revantage to ensure alignment on legal strategies and initiatives. Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across various geographies to support global business objectives. Act as a liaison between the GCC and Revantage's international offices to enhance integration and cooperation.

The position will be based in Bengaluru and report to the Head of Legal for India GCC.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor of Law degree from a reputed university.

  • Experience in managing Company Secretarial (CS) work.

  • 15+ years in contract management, corporate governance, compliance & advisory roles, with proven ability to influence at the C-suite level.

  • Strong understanding of international governance standards, regulatory frameworks and jurisdictional compliance.

  • Exceptional stakeholder management, strategic advisory capability, and execution discipline.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

  • High integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Worked in multinational organizations.

  • Champion ethical standards and sustainability initiatives, embedding them into organizational culture.

  • Drive transparent communication and foster trust among internal and external stakeholders.
