Job purpose:
The Finance Director BeLux provides finance business partnering and leadership to the Local Operating Company (LOC) and is accountable for legal and statutory compliance of the Pharma legal entity.
As a member of the LOC Leadership Team, this role will provide support to the General Manager (GM) and the LOC Leadership Team on how to drive growth, optimise allocation of resources and manage P&L.
Success in the role requires the ability to interface with senior management, have high degree of financial competencies, understand accounting standards and strategic direction of the company as well as leading and managing the team.
The role also has full accountability for tax and statutory accounts and is part of the Board of Directors at LOC level. As this is a hybrid role covering both Business Partnering as well as Finance Controllership, the incumbent should have experience in both areas in order to be able to deliver value.
Belux is a combination of Belgium & Luxemburg, with an annual turnover of £180m, double digit growth, £35m investment and 180 employees.
Your responsibilities:
As the Finance Director BeLux you,
Provide financial leadership to strategic decision making to maximise results (sales, operating profit, cash flow), partner with the GM and the LOC leadership team to contribute to the growth of the business by making strategic resource allocation and pricing decisions. Develop and implement strategies based on financial insights.
Lead together with the LOC management team the preparation of long-term strategic goals, three-year financial plans and short-term goals for the LOC with clear assumptions, risks and opportunities and mitigation plans. Lead performance management for the LOC by using relevant internal and external benchmarks, reviewing full P&L with senior management team.
Partner with Supply Chain Hub organisation to lead the Planning and Demand Review Meetings (DRM’s) process to set up an accurate rolling forecast by fully understand the volume/value dynamics and competitive environment, with the focus on forecast accuracy and bias and risks and opportunities management. Provide ROI Analysis to support the business, develop business cases to right-size the investment providing recommendations in strategic resource allocations.
Challenge pricing decisions through price/volume sensitivity analysis in order to optimize profitability. Provide financial support with new launches based on price/volume assumptions, Market Share dynamics, scenario planning, ROI analysis, Profitability reviews. Understand established portfolio product elasticity, provide insightful price/volume and financial analyses.
Act as reference point regarding financial, tax and statutory results for the Boards of Directors (Shareholders' Meetings and Auditors) and for Financial Stewardship and controls, RMCB risk management, pricing framework, core commercial cycle. Ensure accuracy and compliance of all controlling and accounting activities including statutory and tax reporting based on the services provided by the responsible organisations (Tax, CBS, Procurement etc.) as per the approved RACIs.
Lead and inspire directly and indirectly Finance teams. Develop team capabilities and future potential. Collaborate with all shared service centers to ensure One Finance mentality. Lead and participate in change management projects focused on driving Finance or Business towards key global processes and models.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Minimum Bachelor degree level such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, MBA, or local equivalent
Minimum 5 years of finance partnering experience (Finance/Business Partnering role in multinational companies)
Experience in financial controls in a matrix environment (e.g. statutory accounting, tax, shared services)
Knowledge of GSK accounting policies and processes
Change management
