Senior Estimating & Pricing Specialist Team Lead

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Estimating and Pricing Team Lead to join the Finance Shared Services - Government Estimating Center of Expertise team in Hazelwood, MO

This formal labor estimating team lead will support both Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) F/A-18 program proposal work scope. As a Senior Estimating Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the team in development of estimates and cost/price proposals for new business activities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of managing assignments proactively, and excels in cross-functional coordination and communication.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, assigning work, completing one-on-one meetings and training new employees in the department
  • Leading the development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
  • Coordinating and interfacing with Contracts and Pricing, Estimating, Supply Chain (SC), Contracting and Integration, Engineering and other functional organizations to support and analyze the labor requirements and estimate Boeing costs for budgetary, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM), and formal Boeing proposals in both Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)-compliant and TINA-exempt environments
  • Leading compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits
  • Developing and giving presentations for estimating reviews/approvals
  • Performing Labor Basis of Estimate (BOE) and Pricing peer and management reviews within the organizational Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines
  • Acting as management delegate when required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Estimating, Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • Experience presenting to government customers and technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team effectively (formally or informally)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of estimating experience
  • Estimating experience in a government contracting environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $106,250 - $143,750
