Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Defense Systems wants you to join our team as a Staff Network Communications (Level 5) and join our diverse team of professionals located at Beale AFB, CA.
As the Staff Network Communication Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will maintain smooth operation of Advanced and Specialized Information System Hardware and Software.
Duties include:
Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of several complex and specialized information systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of information systems hardware/software, radio frequency and SATCOM communications systems, and computer interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for equipment. May design systems or portions of systems that include selection of hardware and software packages.

Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of 18 yrs of Network Comms related experience. A Bachelors in Science with at least 14 years of job related experience; 12 years with masters; 9 years with PhD. may also be considered.
Ability to maintain compliance with program required physical standards.
Ability to complete initial qualification training within 365 days from program access and show continuous progress throughout the training program.
Willing/able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.
Ability to meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
Have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
Able to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location.
Ability to comply with mobility requirements to include required immunizations and vaccinations.
Possess Security+ certification, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire
A current DoD Top Secret security clearance and be able to maintain that clearance
Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.
