C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Carrier Manager to join our Robinson Managed Solutions (RMS) team. In this role you will lead strategic carrier performance initiatives for the account, including defining monitoring frameworks and implementing improvement programs. You will manage complex compliance issues, oversee corrective action plans, and mentor junior team members to strengthen organizational capability. In addition, you will provide actionable insights and collaborate closely with account leadership to align carrier performance with business objectives.

This position will be based on-site at the customer’s office in Houston, TX.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Set monitoring frameworks and KPI targets across the carrier portfolio

  • Lead monthly performance reviews with carriers; drive Corrective Action plans and verify outcomes

  • Govern compliance health (OTP, OTD, Acceptance, EDI)

  • Coach Carrier Managers and Associates on analytics, governance, and stakeholder communication

  • Partner with account leadership to build data‑driven improvement roadmaps aligned to goals

  • Build and maintain strong relationships while driving cross-functional influence across internal teams and external partners

  • Use predictive risk indicators to preempt service failures and capacity gaps

  • Standardize dashboards and cadence rituals across the account

  • Manage complex escalations from internal and external partners and lead the resolution of any open issues

  • Quantify impact; publish monthly performance narratives

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain/transportation/logistics

  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

  • Experience with carrier monitoring and compliance processes

  • Professional experience in Procurement, carrier sales, transportation, logistics, and/or Supply Chain

  • Exceptional facilitation skills including but not limited to relationship management, presentation, documentation and accountability

  • Should possess strong root cause and analytical skills

  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels within customer organization (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to identify, understand and execute based on market trends and pricing strategies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

  • Skilled in interpreting KPIs and compliance metrics

  • Advanced Excel and data visualization

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive results in a very large, dispersed organization

Compensation Range

$89,800.00 - $151,800.00
