Role responsibilities:
Performing onsite and offsite AML/CTF/Anti-Fraud Compliance program reviews of Western Union owned locations as well as of prospect, new, and existing Agents of Western Union, and its affiliates in Switzerland;
Providing support and training to Western Union Agents and employees to implement an effective AML/CTF and anti-fraud Compliance program for our Money Transfer and FX business;
Acting as deputy to the Senior Compliance Manager internally and externally;
Evaluating controls both internally and with our agent partners through transaction and customer analysis and supporting them in delivering the compliance programs;
Implementing Western Union policies and procedures and working closely with the Global Agent Oversight and other internal Compliance teams;
Escalating compliance-related risk matters diligently and in a timely manner;
Assisting your team in the overall development of AML programs, especially related to front-office tasks and initiatives;
Assisting department management with back office and project-related activities based on the business needs.
Role Requirements
Understanding of Swiss laws and regulations related to AML/CTF and Anti-Fraud policies and procedures, appropriate regional and global Money Services Business (MSB) and FX regulatory requirements, the Bank Secrecy Act, and their effect on Western Union business;
At least 2 years of experience in compliance, risk or audit functions;
Fluency in English, French and (ideally) German languages (oral and written);
Traveling flexibility of 40% within Switzerland, adjusted based on business needs;
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to manage challenging situations;
Ability to work independently and have strong time management skills;
Experience communicating with clients/customers (preferably face to face or by phone);
Proficiency with all common Office programs such as: MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
