Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Tools Engineer to join the development of a new IP.

As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
You’ll help us by…
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Crafting and implementing various asset creation and management tools ranging from exporters, to content creation tools, to asset management tools, to build tools, to frameworks
Maintaining and supporting existing and new and infrastructure as neededWorking with content creators, designers, and other specialists to document requirements and ensure tool design specifications are met
Design and development of user-friendly interfaces for content creators
You’re awesome because you have…
Interest in game specific tooling and pipelines
Knowledge of UI toolkits (e.g. Qt, wxWidgets, WinForms)
Good understanding of 3D math used in games
The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team
Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude
Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines
Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback
A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games
Bonus points for…
Knowledge of best practices in UI/UX for game tools
Understanding of content pipelines and formats used in games (FBX, USD, etc).
Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
