Your Opportunity
BDO Canada is currently seeking a replacement Manager, Modern Workplace Technology Consulting to join our Technology Consulting team in the Greater Toronto Area. BDO’s Modern Workplace Practice provides clients with solutions and services in the areas of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva, Enterprise Content Management, Intranets and Collaboration.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Growth:
Participating in pre-sales activities including creating and running demos, presentations, drafting statements of work, pricing, proposals and responding to requests for proposal (RFPs)
Assisting in the development & implementation of new service offering
Engagements:
Running client workshops and gathering/documenting requirements for modern workplace, content/document management and collaboration solutions
Project management of multiple engagements against budget, timeline and scope
Developing strategies and roadmap for clients to begin their modern workplace journey
Lead and manage marketing and sales campaigns to generate leads
Act as a liaison with Partners including Microsoft and other ISV’s
Evangelize Microsoft Copilot for M365, Microsoft 365, Viva and other Microsoft products internally and with clients
Contribute to strategic direction of the Modern Workplace practice
Acting as a customer escalation contact as required and providing management and guidance related to the resolution of customer satisfaction concerns
Building deeper relationships with clients and assisting in expanding the engagement footprint when the opportunity presents itself
Creating end user documentation for clients and providing training on Microsoft 365 and other applications
Talent:
Leading/managing engagement teams and ensuring that team members are effectively utilized
On-going mentoring and coaching of team members including performance management
Ensuring our support professionals have the skills, experience and capacity required to deliver our service offerings
Fostering a sense of purpose within the team; developing short and long-term objectives aligned with driving behaviours supporting our core values, mission and vision
Interviewing and hiring new talent as the team grows

Your experience and education
Excellent customer-facing, communication and presentation skills
Expert knowledge of the latest Modern Work tools in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot for M365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva
Adept at understanding and eliciting client business challenges and documenting high-level requirements
Ability to run workshops/requirements gathering sessions for modern workplace, employee experience, content management, document management and collaboration solutions
Experience leading or managing a team and coaching/mentoring team members
Experience leading pre-sales meetings and activities including creating and running demos, presentations, drafting statements of work, proposals and responding to request for proposals (RFPs)
Experience with Change Management and adoption frameworks
Experience creating end user documentation and provide training on Microsoft services
Ability to do project management and business analysis
Understanding of the following concepts: GenAI, Agentic AI, Document Management, Unstructured Data, Employee Experience, Knowledge Management, Information Management
Previous experience working with a consulting firm would be an asset
Excellent in multi-tasking and time management
Strategic planning and management expertise
The expected range of compensation for this role is $115,000 - $165,000 annually.
