The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

Job Description

About the Role:

The Talent Lifecycle Technician I is responsible for provisioning, de-provisioning, and updating application access and physical hardware for onboarding, offboarding, and transferring employees. The technician’s priorities include ordering stock, handling equipment shipments and receipts, setting up or configuring new employee desks and workspaces, and providing or removing appropriate access based on defined employee standard packages.

Location: This position requires you to work in office 5 days a week at the WGU headquarters: 4001 South 700 East Salt Lake City, UT 84107. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Places timely and accurate asset orders in procurement systems. 
  • Receives, prepares, and pre-configures new computer and device settings.
  • Packs and ships hardware, prints postage labels. 
  • Responsible for timely delivery of assets to customers. 
  • Responsible for receiving, cleaning, restocking, and disposal of assets from customers. 
  • Maintains excellent and accurate notes and asset tracking records. 
  • Troubleshoots shipping exceptions and works directly with end users, customers, and suppliers to resolve conflicts and answer inquiries to maintain excellent relations.
  • Monitors and responds to ticketing queues, and email
  • Deskside and walkup support including workspace setup and removal

  • Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of logistics and postage/shipping processes

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma required
  • Basic knowledge of IT, identity and access management, security, and information protection standards and processes
  • Knowledge of shipping protocols, packing, shipping, printing postage
  • Vocational or general technical education in addition to work experience ​

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at desk/computer
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking to or from locations within campus
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly

Position & Application Details
