Hourly Rate: $25.73 an hour

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Specialist Fabrication/Machine is responsible for a variety of responsibilities including manufacturing parts/equipment within specifications, testing completed parts/equipment, reviewing specifications, blueprints, drawings, in order to fabricate, cleaning and lubricating machines, tools and equipment while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP, good housekeeping, and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Set up and safely operate all metal working machines including but not limited to: CNC Mill, Manual Mills and Lathe with and without DRO, Drill Press, Arbor Press and Broach, etc…..
  • Knowledge and ability to use measuring equipment including: Tape Measure, calipers, digital and analog micrometers……..
  • Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime
  • Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
  • Knowledge of machines and tools including design and maintenance
  • Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
  • Hold tolerances
  • Knowledge of Planned Maintenance and the Maintenance Work Cycle
  • Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • As well as with others as a team
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Ability to complete work/purchase requests
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Job Duties:

  • Manufacture or repair parts/equipment within specifications and quality standards
  • Measure, examine and test completed parts/equipment to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Set-up, adjust and operate machine tools in order to perform precise machining
  • Review specifications, parts, blueprints, drawings, etc in order to fabricate
  • Perform PM tasks to ensure equipment is running properly and efficiently
  • Plan machining process (e.g., tools needed, steps to follow, etc.)
  • Complete required reports (e.g., PM, Work Orders, Centerline, etc.)
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Complete BOS audits as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Train others in best practices
  • Knowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, and confined space
  • Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • LOTO/PIT certified

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in mechanical/technical trade preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of machine shop or related experience required.
