The Informatica/IICS ETL Lead is responsible for leading the design, development and testing of data integration solution using IICS for data acquisition from on-premises and AWS data sources into a Snowflake data platform. Client is building a new Snowflake data platform as the Books and Records solution for a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) to support compliance reporting and auditing. This role will act as the primary point of contact for client and offshore development team to select, implement and optimize data ingestion patterns. Key Responsibilities: 1. ETL/ELT Development & Data Integration: Design, develop, and implement ETL pipelines using IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) to extract, transform and load data from multiple sources, including on-premises DB2 databases, APIs, cloud services and flat files, into Snowflake. Optimize data transformations, mappings, workflows, and parameterized sessions. Implement streaming and batch data processing solutions. 2. Cloud & On-Premises Data Integration: Design data pipelines for hybrid cloud environments (on-prem to AWS data ingestion). Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and business teams to identify data requirements, define data mapping and transformation logic, and design effective data ingestion solutions. 3. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, reliability and efficiency. Diagnose and resolve data integration failures, bottlenecks, and error handling. Optimize SQL queries, session parameters, and pushdown optimization. 4. Collaboration & Documentation: Work offshore data engineers to document ETL processes, technical specifications, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with IICS and Informatica Cloud is required. Advanced proficiency in Snowflake Data Warehouse and cloud data service (AWS, S3, etc.) is recommended. Knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, JSON and XML integrations. Expert proficiency in performance tuning, pushdown optimization, and parallel processing is suggested. Familiarity with data modeling and metadata management tools is a plus. • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment to meet dynamic business needs.
