The Budget & Capital Plan Manager (IC) plays a critical role in enabling that mission by developing and managing HP’s global real estate operating budget and multi-year capital plan. As a key contributor within the CREWS Strategy & Planning team, you will partner closely with Finance, Procurement, project delivery teams, and business unit stakeholders to provide financial insights that shape HP’s global workplace strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Budget Leadership

  • Lead the development of the annual Operating Expense (OpEx) and Capital Expense (CapEx) budgets for CREWS.

  • Produce quarterly forecasts, variance analyses, and executive-ready financial summaries.

  • Partner with regional CREWS teams to validate assumptions for occupancy costs, leases, site operations, and workplace programs.

  • Enhance and manage financial models to improve predictability and transparency.

Capital Plan Development & Analysis

  • Build and maintain HP’s multi-year global capital plan.

  • Develop business cases, ROI analyses, NPV calculations, and scenario models.

  • Monitor capital project cashflow and compliance with Finance policies.

  • Partner with project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Governance

  • Serve as a financial partner to CREWS leadership, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units.

  • Support presentations, portfolio reviews, and board-level reporting.

  • Provide financial input into location strategy, hybrid work programs, and space planning.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

Data, Systems, and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting tools.

  • Drive standardization of financial processes globally.

  • Identify automation and AI-enabled opportunities to improve planning workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or related field.

  • 7+ years of budgeting experience

  • Strong understanding of operating and capital expense reporting

  • Advanced modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence without authority.

Preferred

  • Experience in a global technology company.

  • Familiarity with Corporate real estate tools

  • Knowledge of hybrid work, site consolidation, or lab/manufacturing environments.

  • Experience with process automation and workflow optimization.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
