Join us as an Asset Services Manager!
Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for an Asset Services Manager to join the Euronext Securities Team. The position will be based in Porto with opportunities for occasional travel to other locations. You will report directly to the Head of Shared Services.
You will primarily be responsible for:
- Custody and Administration: Manage custody and administration services for centralized financial instruments (Direct and Global Custody).
- Corporate Actions: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of corporate actions, including dividends, interest payments, stock splits, mergers, and other complex events.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with market standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations in all corporate actions processing. Manage Issuer and Ancillary Services.
- Operational Relationships: Manage relationships with participants, foreign centralization entities, and their custodians, focusing on service quality, operational support, and process improvement.
- Tax Services: Oversee tax services and address relevant issues in a post-trade environment.
- Service Development: Contribute to the development of new custody services for domestic and international clients.
- Regulatory Consistency: Verify consistency between operational regulations and established processes, proposing adjustments as needed for new regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Assess operational risks and continuously monitor containment measures in line with group policies.
- Organizational Management: Manage the assigned organizational structure and control relevant costs.
- Internal Procedures: Create and manage internal procedures, detailing tasks for individual organizational units, and coordinate updates.
- AML Monitoring: Monitor and identify suspicious situations per regulations and anti-money laundering procedures, reporting to the Head of Anti-Money Laundering Operations and/or Compliance.
- Client Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point for clients and stakeholders regarding asset servicing and corporate actions issues.
- Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with clients, custodians, and other stakeholders to maintain service excellence.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of asset servicing professionals to achieve performance goals. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting accountability and continuous improvement. Manage workload distribution, training, and development plans to ensure operational continuity.
Your profile:
Technical skills:
- Strong proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of a wide span of complex operational and regulatory matters.
Soft skills:
- Demonstrated ability to perform well, keep composure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, transforming, and results-driven environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Fast learner and proactive behaviour with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience in working with international teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in business management or finance.
- 2-3 years of successful experience in a similar people management role.
- Fluency in English. Any other European language will be considered an advantage.
- Flexibility to travel.
