POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the Latin America business unit and is responsible for the day-to-day Accounts Payables for multiple legal entities.  Performs moderately complex AP activities in accordance with policies, principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role is a full-time, 6-month temporary assignment with potential for permanent placement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payments.
  • Verifies invoices and purchase orders to facilitate approval and payment, follows up with functional areas and vendors to ensure proper documentation is kept.
  • Ensures proper GL accounts usage
  • Maintains a continuous communication with internal and external customers, vendors, project teams and cross functional mangers/directors.
  • Prepares records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable transactions. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger accounts and reports.
  • Supervises invoice processing and payment. Examines invoices processed to ensure proper matching of purchasing and receiving documents, proper distribution to general ledger expense accounts, timely and accurate payments.
  • Ensures accounts payable policies and procedures are up to date. Maintains consistency of adherence to accounts payable goals; establishes and communicates standard opera ng procedures.
  • Manages accounts payable aging analysis.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field. (Title and professional license is required)
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting required, with 3 years in Accounts Payable preferred
  • Must be Bilingual - Fluency (speaking and writing) in both Spanish and English required
  • 1-2 years of working with a large ERP (ie. SAP, Oracle)
  • Must be able to travel to United States with a B1/B2 VISA

SKILLS

  • Advanced computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • SAP knowledge in AP and AR Module, (FICO)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
  • Ability to adapt to continuous improvement
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-growing work environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
