About This Opportunity
We welcome a highly motivated Marketing and Recruitment Officer to join our Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences to coordinate and implement marketing and promotional activities relating to programs within the Faculty. This includes copywriting, content production, supporting events, social media campaigns and digital communications.

For current UQ staff members, this is an ideal secondment opportunity with a chance to upskill, or to branch out and gain valuable experience supporting our emerging Faculty. Please note any secondment arrangement would require approval from current management.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate marketing and promotional activity in collaboration with the Faculty’s Schools to support the recruitment of students across undergraduate, postgraduate and HDR programs.
Write, edit, and publish high-quality content that drives audience engagement and delivers on project and stakeholder objectives.
Support the implementation of the Faculty’s digital strategy, including organic and paid social media coordination and optimising web content for search.
Assist in the development of creative assets for digital and print, in line with the UQ brand guidelines.
Coordinate video production and photography to support content production across the Faculty’s channels.
Coordinate and support a range of student recruitment events, liaising with stakeholders across the Faculty, Schools and central teams.
Source information, draft content and gain relevant approvals for the production of eDMs.
About You
Qualifications and training equivalent to an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
A thorough understanding of communication and marketing issues and techniques in a service-based environment. Knowledge of the higher education sector would be advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in content production across a range of channels.
Demonstrated experience in the field of events.
Demonstrated experience and skills utilising a range of software including Vision 6, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Survey Monkey, or similar programs, as well advanced skills in presentation design.
Experience coordinating social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to maintain relationships across a range of stakeholder groups, working independently and adaptively to meet changing needs.
Proven ability to provide marketing advice and high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.
Skills in web content management systems such as Drupal and experience with the techniques of web design and graphic design would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment.
