Get to Know the Opportunity

A successful Associate Regional Director – Pomona Specialist (ARD) will be eager to drive sales in Pomona Investment Fund and have a passion for alternatives and private equity. This position will be Atlanta-based, with occasional travel. The successful candidate will take a proactive approach to managing relationships, pushing sales leads to close, and uncovering new sales opportunities as Voya invests in growing the platform. Required attributes for success include phone, virtual, and in-person sales skills. Successful candidates will have experience using data analytics to maximize prospecting efforts, and a track record of success in building relationships in the alternatives space, selling, and passion to continue their growth trajectory with a fast-growing product. Last, qualified candidates should have strong interest in Capital Markets and proactive, strong work ethic.

The Contributions You Will Make

  • Work collaboratively with our Pomona Investment Fund sales professionals to unlock new sales opportunities and push sales leads to close.
  • On a day-to-day basis, use phone and e-mail tools to prospect and engage financial professionals in sales conversations around Private Equity. Having tenacity to prospect and a track record of effectiveness in past sales roles is a great indicator of a successful candidate.
  • Partner with regional teams of outside and inside wholesalers to provide specialist support and training as they generate PE leads.
  • The majority of prospecting work will be accomplished via outbound call efforts, and e-mail engagement.
  • Utilize data analysis to prioritize opportunities for the team’s prospecting efforts.
  • Manage top client relationships in partnership with your partners in the field.
  • Service incoming inquiries from Financial Advisors on our 1-800 sales queue.
  • Host sales meetings and travel as needed to host conferences, roadshows, and client-related events.
  • Analyze and write-up compelling sales pitches based on Zephyr Reporting & similar analytic reporting based on Voya/Pomona products vs competing funds our prospects own.
  • Take ownership of data integrity in our CRM – including building advisor teams, updating contact information, and recording detailed notes as a record of our call and e-mail efforts, as well as sales conversations
  • Offer ideas to maximize the team’s time management, sales effectiveness, and ultimately drive a positive impact to territory gross & net sales (including asset retention)

Minimum Knowledge & Experience

  • Must have at least a 4-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2 - 4 years of customer service/sales experience within the Financial Services industry
  • Financial Services experience in the alternatives or PE space. A passion and commitment to building these sales skills a must. Past sales experience with alternatives strongly preferred.
  • Current Series 7, and 66 licenses strongly preferred. If not currently held, must pass within 90 days of hire.
  • Candidate should have strong working knowledge of popular sales software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Candidate should be professional, adaptable, collaborative, creative, self-motivated, organized, and responsible.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and a strict attention to detail required.
  • Candidate should demonstrate an upbeat, positive attitude and have an ability to excel in a team environment.
  • A determination to “make an impact,” work hard, & take ownership of their career will help strong candidates stand out.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
