About the Project
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a landmark water infrastructure development in Western Australia. ACCIONA is delivering innovative civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and tunnelling works to help secure Perth’s long-term water supply. This major project brings together technical complexity, sustainable engineering solutions, and multidisciplinary collaboration at scale.
About the Opportunity
ACCIONA is seeking Expressions of Interest from Engineers at all levels - Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and Senior Project Engineers - to join the Alkimos Desalination Project. Opportunities exist across the following disciplines:
• Civil Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Tunnelling Engineering
As part of our team, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and delivery of major works within a diverse engineering environment on one of WA’s most significant water infrastructure projects.
Key Accountabilities
• Drive a positive safety culture while ensuring rigorous adherence to safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Deliver works to project specifications, standards, and technical requirements
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction activities
• Support design reviews, technical assessments, and constructability inputs
• Prepare progress reports, project documentation, and engineering records
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence across your discipline
Required Skills and Competencies
• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
• Experience on major infrastructure projects (water, transport, energy, tunnelling, marine, or similar)
• Exposure to tunnelling, mechanical systems, electrical installations, or marine/civil works highly regarded
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage safety, compliance, and project standards
• Problem-solving mind-set and commitment to safe, sustainable engineering delivery
