This Summer internship is a full-time position in our Chicago office with a requirement to be in-office 5 days/week for the duration of the Summer program (approximately late May – mid-August).

Business/Data Analyst Intern

Our businesses are embarking on a significant process and information technology transformation.  It is an exciting time, as we are in a period of rapid change.  We require business analysis and project management talent to lead us through these challenges.

Summary:

The Business Process Analysis Team is seeking a Summer Intern (Business Analytics / Data Analytics) with strong interest in translating business problems into data-driven solutions and visual storytelling. The individual in this role should be a detail-oriented critical thinker with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and take on challenges. The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:

• Technical capability: Proficient in SQL (writing/optimizing queries across multiple tables for extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis) and DAX for modeling and measures in Power BI.
• Power BI delivery: Able to design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reporting that supports KPI monitoring, operational visibility, and stakeholder decision-making.
• Data analysis & quality mindset: Comfortable working with multiple data sources, performing data analysis, identifying gaps/inconsistencies, and supporting data quality checks/standardization (e.g., profiling, cleanse rules, documentation of findings).
• Capstone project leadership: Will lead a capstone effort to build a master data table, coordinating requirements and definitions with business process owners, subject matter experts, and IT, and translating those requirements into a usable, governed dataset.
• Project management & process improvement: Brings structured execution skills—planning work, tracking progress, documenting decisions, and identifying opportunities to improve processes through analytics and standard work.
• Collaboration & communication: A proactive team player who works well with others, communicates clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and can turn business questions into actionable analytical outputs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance or accounting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Pay Range: $20-$24
