The Innovation Solutions team focuses on Designing & building E2E innovative solutions: creating design standards & PoC to simplify development and reduce change management efforts.

This role is responsible for fostering the utmost level of innovative solutions throughout the business. In collaboration with BMO Business groups, Technology & Operations, support groups, and vendors, it ensures seamless collaboration and effective partnerships.

Key Accountabilities

Works collaboratively with business/group and stakeholders to assess needs, recommend process improvements and plans & implement solutions.  

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring they align with the bank's overall objectives and growth strategy.
  • Drive cross-functional teams towards the successful completion of strategic projects, overcoming obstacles and ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Work closely with department heads and external partners to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
  • Conduct rigorous market analysis, competitive intelligence gathering, and financial modeling to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the development and refinement of business cases for strategic initiatives, including financial projections and risk assessment.
  • Present periodic progress reports on strategic initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders, offering clear insights and recommendations.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and agility, encouraging cross-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure that all strategic initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic planning, project management, or a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of discretionary, full service investing, financial services industry and fintech
  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to turn insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating teams and building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Deep understanding of the banking industry, current market trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary:

$84,000.00 - $156,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
