The Procurement Engineering Manager reports to the Engineering Technical Director and oversees the timely delivery of pre- and post-order engineering activities required to ensure material, components and equipment are specified, requisitioned, procured, design accepted, and delivered to the project site in support of the construction / installation schedule.
Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is an asset.
Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada (member in good standing).
Minimum 10 years of design experience, equipment selection, and manufacturing technical oversight in a heavy industry project delivery environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams.
Experience managing multi-disciplinary work with significant stakeholder interface requirements.
Experience in executing projects that are subject to import/export controls.
Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, CSA N299.
Experience in Nuclear Station Design, CANDU technology and / or engineering qualification would be an asset.
Working knowledge of nuclear and industry codes and standards (CSA N285, ASME, etc.).
Willingness to travel to and potentially work at project sites to meet company needs.
