Leidos is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support mission-critical projects and infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both legacy systems and modern cloud-based architectures, enjoys solving complex problems, and thrives in a collaborative Agile environment.
Maintain, enhance, and modernize legacy applications to meet evolving mission needs
Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and AWS
Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate services across distributed systems
Develop custom ETL solutions and data pipelines, including solutions leveraging Elasticsearch
Write and maintain custom scripts to install, configure, and deploy applications on EC2 instances
Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule
Perform unit testing, peer code reviews, and automated testing (e.g., Selenium)
Document system designs, workflows, and technical solutions clearly and thoroughly
Mentor junior developers and promote software engineering best practices
Troubleshoot issues methodically and contribute technically sound solutions in a team environment
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
Strong hands-on experience with:
Java and Spring Boot
Angular (TypeScript)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) / cloud-based development
Experience developing RESTful APIs and custom ETL solutions
Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Selenium, and Rundeck
Experience working in Linux command-line environments (Red Hat preferred)
Proven ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills
Experience with identity, authentication, and access control development practices
Experience with containerization and modular or microservices-based architectures
Full-stack development experience
Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
Experience with automation frameworks and testing strategies
AWS Certification
