Your New Role…

Are you a creative manager bursting with ideas and a passion for broadcast promotion and storytelling? Are you ready to take the lead to craft bold, impactful campaigns that captivate audiences? Join our dynamic team at one of the world’s leading film and TV companies, where you’ll play a key role in shaping campaigns that connect across every platform.

This role is an exciting opportunity to supervise, direct and, when needed, give hands-on support for a team of creatives working across our premium Sport channel TNT Sports on linear and our streaming platform Discovery+.  You will oversee and lead the ideation and execution of 360 promotional assets helping our clients and stakeholders achieve their goals, raising the bar in creative innovation and ensuring consistency of quality.

You will be working closely and proactively with Design Manager, Production Manager and Account Manager to allocate the best teams for the job and collaborate to create outstanding solutions.

You will provide sign-off on creative work and present / sell-in to stakeholder in marketing & channel management clients as needed alongside the Senior Creative Director and Account Manager.  This role also involves managing a group of creatives and freelancers, ensuring their professional growth and the quality of delivered projects.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Bring Ideas to Life: Lead the team to generate, pitch, and execute innovative and unique creative concepts that align with campaign goals and audience needs. Inspiring the best and most effective production techniques and craftmanship to best deliver key messaging to viewers.
  • Drive Innovation: Stay ahead of industry and sport market competition and trends, bringing fresh ideas that push the boundaries of broadcast communication.
  • Collaborate Proactively: working with Production to scope and plan the staff and freelance team’s work ensuring appropriate resourcing. Liaise with other internal creative teams and departments as necessary to benefit from shared experience and learnings. Maintain effective client and departmental communication and collaboration; pitching to senior stakeholders building healthy relationships and partnerships.
  • Elevate Every Brief: Receive and effectively interpret marketing briefs (challenging and refining them where necessary) ensuing that consequent ideas meet the brief. Act as brand champion and guardian, ensuring consistency (of brand and tone of voice) across all creative executions. 

  • Adapt and Deliver: Efficiently manage multiple projects, maintaining high-quality work even under tight deadlines.
  • Inspire and Develop: Be a mentor for a team of senior to junior creative team members, overseeing professional growth and performance, providing coaching, creative direction and supervision, continually assessing and motivating others 

  • Deputise for and support Senior Creative Director as required

Qualifications & Experience…

  • You have proven experience in creative copywriting, direction and/or art direction in the media industry or within an advertising, creative, or digital agency, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional award winning work.  You will also have experience of creative management and line management, with the ability to be an inspirational champion for the team.
  • You can demonstrate understanding and affinity with the sport genre, their content and audiences. You understand fandom and are immersed in the world of sport.
  • You are a 360° thinker with the ability to ideate and execute campaigns across multiple platforms and media touchpoints.
  • You have amazing technical expertise with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and image creation/editing software, with a good understanding of video, digital and static software production and post-production processes.
  • You are skilled in directing live action and talent, scriptwriting and video/music editing, with experience supervising voiceover recordings and the entire video/audio production process.
  • You have the ability to interrogate and interpret marketing and creative briefs to produce outstanding results, with understanding of research data and relevant target audiences.
  • You can expertly supervise and guide the end-to-end video production, including: script/copy writing, animation/motion graphics direction with Design Manager, video shooting/direction, video/music editing, VO directing
  • You can confidently give management and creative direction of creatives to develop and produce brilliant, effective work across all media and platforms on time & on budget
  • You have the ability to inform, understand and apply audience insight and knowledge of the brand to creative ideas.
  • You are proficient in stakeholder management and have the ability to sell in and fight for the strongest creative solutions with marketing and other stakeholders while being sympathetic to the needs and challenges of a fast moving environment with commercial needs.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
