Why this role is important?
Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Strategy & Systems, the Director of Digital Strategy and Innovation is accountable for defining our digital innovation and ensuring these innovative digital capabilities have defined long-term measurable value, planned with scalability and standardization in mind. This role owns the definition and effective execution of future-state capabilities. You will guide the product strategy to solutions based on market insight, patient and provider healthcare delivery trends, innovative technologies, and ideas from other industries. A deep understanding of product strategy, digital transformation, and future-oriented thinking are required to succeed in this role.
What you'll do:
As a leader, you will be required to mentor cross-functional team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Provide guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Own the success of future-state digital capabilities definition for innovative program delivery. Responsible to ensure success criteria is established and metrics are available for benefit assessment and tracking.
Define the value proposition and business case for each new innovative capability, using data, performance metrics, and operational insights.
Act as an innovation lead and change agent for the organization, continuously assessing industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor capabilities to bring forward new ideas and opportunities before they are requested.
Use data and analytics to assess capability performance, adoption, and impact, informing the digital roadmap decisions with evidence.
Engage with internal stakeholders and partners to share the innovation roadmap, introduce new capabilities and ideas, and align on future-state vision and outcomes, which may include leading stakeholder sessions to collect information on the future vision.
Influence senior leaders and external partners with clear, strategic thinking, positioning the organization as a forward-thinking partner.
Partner closely with the Director of Digital Optimization & Enablement to define what needs to be built and why, and hand off capabilities with clear intent, outcomes, and success measures to ensure smooth transition from build to sustainment.
What you bring:
Senior product, platform, or digital leader with experience owning complex systems in production environments. Preference for experience in product strategy and digital transformation.
Strong systems thinker who understands how technology, operations, data, and people intersect
Comfortable operating in ambiguity while driving discipline
Strong executive communication and influencing skills.
Passion for innovation, user experience, and building for the future.
Data-driven decision maker with a bias toward measurable outcomes
Credible partner to executive leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams
User-obsessed, deeply caring about patient, provider, and operational experience.
Courageous, willing to challenge the status quo and say no when needed.
Excellent time management, organization skills, and a keen attention to detail are required
