The Chief Technology Office (CTO) contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. We provide platform capabilities and tooling that is leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au.

We are a high performing squad of DevSecOps Engineers who are responsible for building and maintaining of enterprise scale ServiceNow Platform serving multiple capabilities across the bank including ITSM/ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and Employee workflow modules. 

We also support the opportunity to work with modern Technology Stacks with a team transforming the way Data is captured, stored and promoted.

We are interested in hearing from people who have

• Are confident in writing Infrastructure as code (IAC) to build Cloud services and build/manage Cloud Infrastructure via CICD pipelines

• Are constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex technical problems and core business objectives

• Pride themselves on implementing Event Streaming Architectures using Kafka and ServiceNow Stream Connect

• Are knowledgeable in their analysis and resolving incidents affecting the ServiceNow Platform

• Have solid hands-on experience in running operations aligned to ITIL framework and/or SRE principles

• Sound exposure to ServiceNow Product Engineering

• Are knowledgeable in design, development, testing and implementation of ServiceNow IRM module

• Are constantly gathering integration requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful deployments

• Pride themselves on their understanding business impacts and with excellent incident response skills

• Are constantly contributing to the Development, Optimisation and maintenance of Data Pipelines and Solutions

Tech skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets, (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;
