This role offers an agile 3,2 working pattern with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Parking within Chiswick Park is very limited and booked on a first come first serve basis, however if you must drive there are also other options outside of the business park itself.

What will this role achieve?

This role is in the Commercialisation function, whose purpose is to 'lead cross functional collaboration to bring ideas and products to life'.

You will be responsible for the delivery, process, governance and reporting of projects. These projects will mostly comprise of line extensions of an existing range or changes to existing products and packaging, and may involve capital spend and inter-linkage with other projects.

The initiatives can be across both our branded and own label portfolios with the later requiring an external focus forming relationships with customer contacts. World Class execution is a core objective and deliverable.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Ensure compliance of all projects through the commercialisation and pladis stage and gate process. Cross functional working across all UK&I sites and functions in addition to pladis sites and colleagues in other regions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all key partners, at various levels to MD across the business are engaged and advised of project status, progress, risks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for planning, governance and delivery on time, in full of projects approved through the commercialisation forum.
  • Deliver the projects through the pladis stage & gate system
  • Track and report on the progress / issues in an accurate and timely manner. Highlight compliance to plan, key issues and risks.
  • Ensure tight control of project scope, action standards and guard rails, with clear approval process through Commercialisation for any change.
  • Arbitrate and resolve conflict and interface problems within individual projects. Assure timely adaptive action is taken.
  • Validated working understanding and compliance to pladis key project management systems and processes eg. Planview, stage & gate process, acorn etc. Identify, propose, lead & drive improvements in performance / ways of working with the commercialisation team.
  • Ensure the delivery of pack change projects, including smooth transition when changing sku’s or codes & mitigating any existing packaging write off.
  • Ensure initiatives with interdependencies are identified, communicated & aligned through the process e.g. outside of the UK/other markets, Brand and Own Label when product and/or material changes will affect.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify projects at risk
  • Escalate when appropriate, collating options, impact and a recommendation for alignment or decision
  • Identify, align and implement mitigation measures
  • Identify, escalate where appropriate and work cross functionally to remove obstacles quickly and efficiently.

Bring your experience.

Essential

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience within at least one area of the business e.g. Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Procurement or Technical
  • FMCG experience
  • Attention to detail

Desirable

  • Broad understanding of pladis business processes across all relevant areas eg. Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance
  • Commercial competence
  • Experience working across more than one function or field
  • Formal project management qualification e.g. Prince
  • Degree or equivalent experience

What will the interview process be?

  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
