Role summary

One of our key business priorities is to grow our sports and entertainment streaming service discovery+. To do this, we work with our key strategic partners to scale our subscriptions at speed by making discovery+ top of mind for their customers.

As the Partnerships Marketing Coordinator, you will be an integral member of the UK Marketing team, supporting the Partnerships Marketing Executive and Partnerships Marketing Manager. You’ll be working to ideate, develop and execute marketing activity to promote discovery+ (incl. TNT Sports) content, and brands, through our strategic platform partners.

This role will report to the Partnerships Marketing Executive and work with multiple wider functions such as Sports, Creative, Production, Media Planning, PR, Social & Digital, Trade, Streaming, Legal, Insights and Commercial.

The Partnerships Marketing team sits under the VP of Marketing for Channels, Sports, and Streaming in the UK.

Key responsibilities

Partner relationship management

  • Contribute to and manage marketing activity plans across all strategic partners.
  • Build and nurture relationships with partners to execute marketing activity, continuously seeking the optimum approach for both their brands and ours.
  • Track all marketing activity and record in team documents.
  • Work on the on-boarding and launches of new platform partners.

Marketing & creative

  • Brief in specific creative requests for partner deliverables to internal Creative team.
  • Contribute to wider Sport and Entertainment creative briefs, alongside other teams, and manage delivery to partners.
  • Collate creative feedback and confidently deliver to relevant stakeholders as part of the campaign management process.
  • Work closely with the Sports Marketing team to be clued up on all key rights, licensing, brand guidelines and assets.
  • Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums.

Insights & measuring success

  • Work closely with our Insights team to measure success of partner activity.
  • Support the Partnerships Marketing Manager with data driven insights, pulling reports, and ensuring trackers are updated.
  • Support the Partnerships Marketing Executive and Partnerships Marketing Manager and senior stakeholders with PCAs and case studies for the key priorities.

Internal stakeholder management

  • Work closely with other teams within the marketing function; Editorial Planning, Creative, Legal and Commercial Development to implement integrated campaigns that support channel and commercial priorities.

Admin support

  • Responsible for day-to-day briefing and management of all partner assets, internally and externally.
  • Keep partner trackers and content proposition decks up to date with key priorities across Sports and Entertainment.
  • Oversee the team SharePoint, ensuring all documents and assets are filed correctly and are kept up to date.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the Partnerships Marketing Executive with budget management and POs when required.

Required skills

  • Self-assured communicator and presenter; ability to speak to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to grasp new and complex issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Organised multi-tasker, adept at working to tight deadlines and prioritising workload.
  • Can-do, positive attitude and proactivity and initiative.

Desirable

  • Passion and knowledge of sports.
  • Understanding or experience of the broadcast/ streaming/ production environment.
  • Ability to deputise for other team members as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office incl. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
