VF Corporation is looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our Global Sustainability team based in Stabio, Switzerland.

As a Sustainability Specialist, you’ll be working across VF and its portfolio of brands to drive transformative change in alignment with our Global Sustainability strategy and forthcoming regulatory requirements, with a particular emphasis on support to Brand sustainability operations.

This role will be central to driving progress globally that contributes to VF’s global sustainability goals and prepares VF brands for sustainability-related regulatory compliance. The role will require adept relationship building skills across both internal and external stakeholders, giving you the opportunity to engage in multiple workstreams across VF’s organization.

The Sustainability Specialist will be working closely with the VF Brands to support on the implementation of strategically relevant sustainability initiatives and processes. We expect that you will deliver exceptional results while fulfilling the following aspects of the Sustainability Analyst role:

• Support on packaging initiatives across EMEA Brands, leading the implementation of existing programs & identifying, planning and executing new improvement opportunities across Brands in collaboration with internal stakeholder network, all in close alignment with eco-modulation opportunities globally foreseen by regulation.
• Support VF Brands and commercial teams in fulfilling product sustainability surveys and data requests for key commercial partners.
• Advising VF Brands on environmental claims and messaging, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in EMEA (including but not limited to Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive)
• Support the team in the integration of circular economy principles into the day-to-day business, including support on data collection to ensure compliance with Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
• Continuously monitor the evolving landscape of sustainability-focused regulatory requirements globally.
• Support on team organization, planning, and day-to-day operational tasks.

Critical work relationships:

• Work horizontally across internal functions, incl. but not exclusive to Global Sustainability, Legal, Brand Marketing, Brand Product & Sales teams, Finance, Government Affairs, Supply Chain, Product Stewardship team as well as external stakeholders
• Work closely with Corporate & Government Affairs and Legal Counsel to continuously integrate regulatory developments into the VF operational process.

Skills for Success

We are looking for someone who:

• A few years of work experience in sustainability, experience in the textile industry is a plus.
• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Has excellent analytical skills & process thinking to translate complex issues into tangible & streamlined solutions.
• Has deep expertise in data collection and analytics, process management and project management.
• Has the ability to successfully support and prioritize multiple projects and teams at one time.
• Has a pioneering spirit and feels confident in their ability to charter unchartered territory.
• Is a strong communicator and enjoys working with people.
• Has a keen interest in Sustainability, Climate Change, and the complex, interrelated environmental challenges faced by our industry and beyond.
