The Role 

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented eCommerce Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, analyzing and interpreting marketing and customer data; creating reports and dashboards to extract intelligence and expand self-service capabilities; and presenting data insights to business partners to drive decisions. 

This is a hybrid position and requires onsite work at our Chicago HQ Office. 

Responsibilities

  • Research: Develop a deep understanding of the customer site experience, the purchasing funnel, and best practices in the cannabis industry. 
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, website metrics, and customer behavior to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. 
  • Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to stakeholders. 
  • A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests to optimize product pages, checkout processes, and other ecommerce experiences. 
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and collaborate with the ecommerce team to implement changes. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross functional teams to translate data insights into actional strategies for optimizing product pages, marketing campaigns, and conversion rates. 
  • Customer Segmentation: Analyze customer data to identify high-value segments and develop targeted marketing strategies. 

Qualifications  

  • Ecommerce Experience: 3+ years of experience in ecommerce analysis or a related field. B2C preferred. 
  • Bachelor's Degree: in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, or a related field is preferred 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Analytical Skills: Proven analytical skills and experience working with large datasets. 
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical software (e.g. R) 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), site optimization tools (e.g. Google Optimize) and BI. Tableau preferred. Hands on experience with Mixpanel is a bonus. 
  • Certifications: Google Analytics certification or similar preferred

  • Must pass any and all required background checks  
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry  
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
