Residency Training Programme in Small Animal Surgery

Willows invite applications for an ECVS Residency Training Programme in Small Animal Surgery, commencing in July 2025.

Joining one of the UK’s largest and most established referral centres, you will be working alongside our World class multi-disciplinary team including four Soft Tissue and four Orthopaedic Specialists supported by colleagues in Neurology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care, Anaesthesia and Diagnostic Imaging. In-patient care is a priority and includes 24-hour Veterinary and Nursing cover, with support from a team of Interns. Our hospital facilities are of the highest quality, and include on-site Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in-theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital X-ray rooms, ultrasonography, video endoscopy and an extensive range of other advanced surgical equipment.

Applicants should be registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to practice in the United Kingdom and should have graduated from an institution that has been approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAVEE). A minimum of one year in primary care practice and completion of a rotating internship or equivalent is mandatory.

The closing date for applications is 5pm, 24th January 2025. The final selection process will comprise two stages, the first of which will take place via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 12th February 2025.  Those successful in the first stage will then be invited to attend an interview in-person on Friday 14th February 2025.
