Job Summary:

The security Engineer will be responsible for performing comprehensive security and privacy assessments across multiple organizations, providing risk remediation recommendations, and tracking progress on post-assessment actions. This role includes administering and guiding the deployment of data security tools, gathering monthly security metrics, and supporting IT security due diligence for acquisitions. Additionally, the Security Engineer will provide regular reports on tool deployment to the leadership team, ensuring visibility into the progress and effectiveness of security initiatives. The engineer will also troubleshoot workstation issues, deploy security software, and deliver status reports to the Portfolio Director of IT and Cybersecurity.

The Position

Responsibilities 

  • Provide post-assessment risk remediation recommendations to multiple organizations.
  • Track the progress of post-assessment remediation of multiple organizations.
  • Administer data security tools for multiple organizations.
  • Provide data security tool deployment and implementation guidance to multiple organizations 
  • Track multiple organizations' progress with data security tool deployments.
  • Perform onsite security and privacy assessments of multiple organizations.
  • Gather and input monthly IT and data security metric data 
  • Participate in IT/data security due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Provide weekly status reports to the Portfolio Director of IT and Cybersecurity.
  • Provide regular reports on data security tool deployment progress and outcomes to the Portfolio Director and Group Leader.
  • Troubleshoot workstation and software issues

Experience and Education 

  • 5+ years in corporate IT 

  • 5+ years of experience installing, administering and maintaining Microsoft operating systems, business productivity software, and IT infrastructure 

  • 3+ years implementing, maintaining and monitoring software-based cybersecurity tools 

  • 3+ years of incident response, including incident documentation, analysis, and remediation 

Other 

  • Approximately 10% travel is required, both nationally and internationally
