Who We Are
The Mission of the Denver District Attorney's Office is to professionally and completely prosecute crimes and investigate potential crimes on behalf of the people of the State of Colorado, and in doing so, do justice, advocate for victims' rights and advise and consult in the deterrence and prevention of crime; to ensure the open, evenhanded and humane administration of justice. The office employs approximately 120 attorneys and 180 support staff, who are responsible for more than 6,000 felony and 12,000 misdemeanor prosecutions annually. The elected District Attorney is the chief law enforcement officer in the City and County of Denver, and is responsible for the prosecution of violations of Colorado State Laws. The current Denver District Attorney is John Walsh.
Location
This position reports on site from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at the Republic Plaza building located at 370 17th St suite 5300 Denver, CO 80202.
What You’ll Do
We are currently seeking a Certified Paralegal I to join the Denver District Attorney’s Office. In order to be considered for this position you must possess a Paralegal Certification.
In this position, you will:
Employees may be re-deployed to work in other capacities in their own agencies or in other City agencies to support core functions of the City during a City-wide emergency declared by the Mayor.
Required Minimum Qualifications

Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience Requirement: One (1) year of full-time paralegal equivalent experience in a public or private law office, not including internships
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
License/Certifications: Possession of Paralegal Certification. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
