The Head of Distribution will play a key role in developing and executing our retail and wholesale distribution strategy to maximize submission flow and premium growth. This leader will foster strong relationships with target agencies, leverage data to identify high-margin markets, and ensure our partners are well-educated on our products and services. The position demands a proactive and analytical professional with a passion for relationship-building and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Retail & Wholesale Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy to align with the company's business goals.
  • Manage retail and wholesale partnerships to optimize submission flow and maximize premium growth.

Market Development and Analysis:

  • Identify and target high-margin markets using key performance indicators and analytics.
  • Monitor trends and market opportunities to adapt strategies and remain competitive.

Agency Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with select retail and wholesale agencies in target areas.
  • Partner with agencies to develop tailored plans to meet shared goals.

Product and Service Education:

  • Educate partners on our product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and value-added services.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations to enhance partner knowledge and engagement.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with underwriting, marketing, and operational teams to align distribution initiatives with company objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to internal teams to support distribution goals.

Travel and Representation:

  • Travel extensively to meet with agency partners and attend industry events.
  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and networking events to enhance market presence.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in property and casualty insurance
    • Proven track record in retail and wholesale distribution and agency relationship management.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
    • Proficiency in leveraging data to drive business decisions.
    • High level of professionalism and ability to build trust and credibility with partners.
