Brown & Brown is seeking a Binding Authority Underwriter to join our growing team in Plano, TX! 

Reporting to a manager, underwriter at the advanced level of position/difficulty, working independent of direction from a manager. Primary responsibilities include analysis and interpretation of risks in regard to the underwriting function while determining acceptability of business and integrity of underwriting practices.

How You Will Contribute: 

• Accept or decline risks based on analysis of variables.
• Review new business applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions.
• Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
• Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.
• Train or supervise junior level underwriters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar position
• Great attention to detail
