Introduction to Role:
The Global Clinical Supply Chain function is accountable for the supply of medicines to AstraZeneca’s clinical trials across the world. Our company’s portfolio of emerging new medicines means the portfolio of clinical trials that is essential to patients and our future success continues to grow with the aim of delivering 20 new medicines by 2030.
Reporting to the Director for Data Governance for Clinical Supply Chain, this role is fundamental in defining and implementing data standards, business rules, and governance frameworks to ensure high-quality, compliant, and well-managed data across clinical supply chain operations. Also, the role requires embedding and maintaining governance processes including Data Quality reporting and issue resolution. This ensures data can be used to inform insights, decisions, and value.
As the Data Governance Specialist, you will work closely with the Business Process Owners, Process Experts, and Operational Teams managing investigational medicinal products. The role will also collaborate with the Operations Data Office to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies and standards, and with the R&D Data Office to ensure that data consumed from R&D is defined, understood and fit for purpose.
