Job Description:
· Strategy: Drives process and provides thought leadership to the formulation of the business strategy for BU Asia and for the different OpCos in the region, which provides the framework for the long-term strategy. Strategic work can include BU Asia strategy, OpCo strategy, and various go-to-market strategies for both Skretting and Trouw across the region. Will work in close connection with local Strategic Marketing teams.
· Business planning: sets up and implements an annual plan for the business development activities in Nutreco, including budget(s), based on the Asia BU strategy, in order to give guidance to the business development activities of Nutreco across Asia.
· Business development: ensures development of innovations and renovations with regard to multidisciplinary co-operation in order to lay the integrated foundation of successful product-market combinations, new markets / new geographies entries, creation of new revenue streams.
· Business performance: responsible for “Organic growth Projects” aiming to improve business performance in specific Operating Companies identified on yearly basis by the BU Asia MD and OpCo GMs. Responsible for ad-hoc business cases related to Capex, operational improvement projects set up by the BU MD and MB.
· Business and market intelligence: analyses competitors, market data and market developments activities, in areas designated by the BU MD in line with the strategy, in order to advise on issues concerning expansion and (dis)continuation of activities in specific markets. Responsible for continuous business and technological monitoring across all relevant industries.
· M&A and Divestments: Helps to lead and coordinate the M&A, JV, divestment process in the region, partnering closely with the Global M&A team. Also takes the lead in sourcing regional and/or local transactions, including relationship management, and provides business and market insight to support M&A / divestments operations.
· Leadership events: content management for Nutreco Asia leadership events.
· Special Projects: ad-hoc projects initiated by the BU MD.
Human resource management: organises, manages, develops and staffs the Strategy and BD department in line with strategic needs, in order to be equipped for current and future business challenges and contribute to the optimisation of business results.
