Job Summary:
This role requires an individual who is professional and who displays the drive, determination, and self-motivation to help build a business. Specifically, the responsibilities of the Account Manager will be to support the assigned broker while servicing and maintaining existing accounts, while helping enroll and install new accounts.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with employee benefits broker(s) and consultants to assist with client projects.
Effectively assist with the resolution of client carrier issues.
Assist with the development/review of Employee Benefit Guides and Enrolment Forms.
Assist with the development an administration of Employee Enrollment Portals (Employee Navigator)
Participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life, disability, and other voluntary benefits.
Assist and participate in carrier implementations.
Assist with preparation of employee communication materials.
Assist with compliance research.
Participate in meetings and communicate with clients, as appropriate.
Actively participate in training programs to enhance benefit industry knowledge.
Work daily in Applied EPIC
Technical Skills:
Strong project management skills
Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work and complete multiple tasks under aggressive time frames.
Proactive with carriers and clients
Ability to work with multiple reporting systems to extract data.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work both independently and within a team to meet common goals.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to embrace any technologies going forward.
Experience:
Proficient in use of Applied EPIC preferred.
Employee Benefits experience preferred; does not matter on broker or carrier side.
Interest in insurance industry and receiving insurance license within 90 days of employment, required
Active Florida 2-15 License preferred
