Job Summary

The Business Manager will work closely with the Founder to oversee day-to-day business operations, ensure seamless execution of strategies, and drive organizational efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader with strong business acumen, project management skills, and the ability to manage both short-term objectives and long-term growth initiatives.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Strategic Planning & Execution 

  • Collaborate with the Founder to develop and implement business strategies, operational plans, and performance goals. 

  • Oversee key projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met. 

  • Conduct market research and provide insights to support business development efforts. 

Operations Management 

  • Streamline daily operations, ensuring all departments work efficiently and effectively. 

  • Develop and improve internal processes to enhance productivity. 

  • Manage business metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), reporting progress to the Founder. 

Financial Oversight 

  • Work with finance teams to monitor budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts. 

  • Provide analysis and recommendations on cost-saving and profit-maximizing initiatives. 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 

  • Identify talent gaps, assist in hiring, and support employee development programs. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. 

Communication & Stakeholder Management 

  • Serve as a liaison between the Founder and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication. 

  • Represent the Founder in meetings, presentations, and negotiations when necessary. 

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences. 

Growth Initiatives & Business Development 

  • Support the Founder in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. 

  • Help expand partnerships and build strategic relationships to grow the company's market presence. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred). 

  • 5+ years of experience in business management, operations, or executive-level support. 

  • Strong leadership and project management skills. 

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 

  • Proficiency in fiscal management and reporting. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

  • Transitioning Service Member or Veteran encouraged to apply 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience in Media, Marketing, or Branding 

  • Proficiency in business management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, project management tools). 

  • Strong network within the [industry/sector] community. 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements 

This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events. 

  • Travel Requirements: up to 30% or more may be required 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment. 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. 

  • Light to moderate lifting is required. 

  • Ability to uphold the stress of traveling. 

  • Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate. 

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic). 

  • Ability to work in a confined area. 

  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
