Qantas Loyalty is a fast paced multi vertical business, operating in a highly competitive talent market requiring a strategic approach to enabling growth and high performance. The Head of People for Qantas Loyalty is a strategic business partner who leads the implementation of the People strategy for the end to end Loyalty business ensuring best fit agile operating model, commercially sound people strategy and a competitive EVP.

Reporting to the Executive Manager People, Customer, Technology & Qantas Loyalty; you will proactively identify the people enablers to a broad spectrum of business strategies to ensure commercial success. You will lead the implementation of key projects, lead cultural change and transformation with strong change management discipline whilst leading the delivery of end to end HR service for the business. You will partner across the leadership team and the broader business whilst leading and coaching a small team of HR professionals.

As a Head of People you will bring expertise leading in complex and fast paced environments, strong HR leadership and delivery expertise and strong team leadership experience to deliver against Loyalty and People OKR’s across the quarterly and annual business cycle.

What you’ll bring to the role: 

  • 12+ years’ experience and expert knowledge across the field of Human Resources with experience in a Senior Human Resources Leadership role. 
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or Law related fields. 
  • Proven expertise in Human Resources business partnering, with a track record of formulating and executing strategies. 
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrated ability to deliver high impact people initiatives that enable business performance
  • Demonstrated experience driving change and transformation and application of change management methodologies
  • Experience as a trusted strategic advisor adept at building effective relationships with senior executive leadership teams and using influence to shape the business direction. 
  • Well versed in navigating matrix and agile operating models, previous experience with op model design and continuous improvement
  • Experience as a key member of a Senior Leadership team working with alignment and collaboratively driving initiatives within area of responsibility and more broadly across the leadership team
  • Significant leadership experience with a mature and composed approach to support and influence across a high number of EM and Head of Roles whilst leading, coaching and developing team members
