WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work within the Energy Consumer Merchandising team to create the future of Nike Footwear, Apparel, Equipment (LIFESTYLE) through Line Planning and Assortment Strategy. You will partner with the Merchandising teams in the other Geographies and EMEA GEL (Geo Express Lane) to bring to life the product and merchandising vision in the marketplace. You will also work closely with the Global Product Merchandising Team, with whom you will line plan and finalize the seasonal product line for the consumers in EMEA.
Besides Merchants, you will interact with cross-functional partners such as Football/Running/Tennis/Golf/SB within the Consumer Fields of Play team: GM, Planning and Marketing on a regular basis. You will collaborate with these partners to ensure the right insights, trends, and opportunities are addressed with speed at the right time to influence the future of the brand.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The goal of the function is to serve the Energy consumer in EMEA with the best product line-up. The priority of your work will be to support the creation of the EMEA product line plan with an editor’s mindset, ensuring Nike stays relevant with todays' youth.
We are looking for a passionate merchant who can think outside of the conventional box. Someone who lives and breathes Streetwear and Fashion. Someone who can translate emerging observations/trends into actionable plans. You do this by actively influencing internal and external partners who can convey this vision for the Nike brand. We are looking for someone who will go above and beyond when it comes to energizing Nike.
So, in short – we are looking for Merchandising talent who is flexible, collaborative and has a clear understanding of the EMEA ENERGY Consumer and sharp eye for product and loves to drive a smooth process.
Requirements:
A clear understanding of the EMEA RNWY/NBHD consumer and marketplace.
Proven product/merchandising/design/marketing experience.
Demonstrate brand passion and passion for streetwear/fashion and Sport.
Experience in translating emerging trends/observations into a sellable proposition by creating mood boards that you will use to inform and influence the product team or external partners.
Ability to deliver results against tight and complex changing timelines with
competing priorities. We work with Energy product that is additional product to the inline process. This requires you to be agile and able to commit to last minute changes and deadlines.
A great understanding of your audience to deliver your message in a clear and efficient way.
Clear communication and storytelling ability to present in front of larger groups during Go To Market meetings or in to a smaller audience when retailers visit the showroom.
Ability to work with peers, cross functional partners, and senior LT on all aspects of the business within a matrix organizational set-up. This means you will be able to sit in Running meetings and find ways to move the consumer into another angle by finding ways to bring this product to the Energy marketplace

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will work in a complex x-functional environment that includes different product engines and gender. You will support the creation of the future line planning to seasonal adoption, pricing, segmentation, and Assortment framework. As Merchant, you will lead your decision with consumer and marketplace insights to create and maintain the EMEA product line plan. You will activate and convey emerging trends that are consumer relevant into product briefs and asks to front run the marketplace and create the next wave of success for the wider functions.
