What You'll Bring:

  • Coursing last year of any quantitative career or just obtained from his/her bachelor's degree.

  • Bachelor's degree in a non-quantitative field but getting a specialization in Data Science.

  • No experience is required.

  • Passion for data and analysis is required.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Intermediate programming skill and aptitude; proficiency with statistical programs such as R or Python.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

  • The desire to work on full-stack data science solutions and engage in continuous learning.

Impact You'll Make:

This position is responsible for supporting the development of analytic solutions through consulting engagements for TransUnion’s clients across a broad array of credit, fraud, insurance and marketing business applications.

You will support other data scientists to drive new business initiatives and deliver long term value-added solutions to various TransUnion customers. These tasks will include –among others- the development of predictive models, new business rules, and device and other identity solutions of broad scope and complexity for customers within the various industries served by TransUnion.

You will be trained to design, write, and test programs for data extraction, segmentation and statistical analysis on large population datasets using languages such as R, Python, SQL, Hive and Spark, formalizing some of these efforts into repeatable process improvements. Also, you will be trained to generate insights from data to provide recommendations to our customers within the area of fraud detection and prevention.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
