We are seeking candidates to join the Correggio Polyurethane Systems House project “BOOST.” The main objective of this project is to enhance the productivity of our manufacturing plant’s planning and production processes. The project aims to implement organizational and technical improvements, particularly in packaging speed, reduction of production unit waiting times, and optimization of production scheduling to maximize asset and resource utilization.

You will work with a cross-functional team that includes production supervisors, plant operators, supply chain production schedulers, maintenance technicians, run plant engineers, and the technology center. This team is dedicated to actively supporting DOW’s continuous improvement process.

Responsibilities / Duties

We are looking for students close to graduation or recent graduates for a 6month internship to support:

• The implementation of improved scheduling processes to minimize inefficiencies and reworks.
• The transition to a new tool called ASE for managing communications among production process roles.
• The update of the production cleaning sequence matrix used in production scheduling.
• The development of troubleshooting manuals for main packaging units.
• Productivity training for production operators, providing guidelines to maximize the efficiency of packaging machines.

The selected candidate will play a key role in following up and implementing various projects and activities within established timelines and monitoring expected productivity results.

Qualifications:

• Current chemical engineering student or recent bachelor’s/master’s graduate in chemical engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Good proficiency in English and Italian.
