Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the Grocery department including ordering, merchandizing, customer service, sales programs within the department.
  • Provide superior customer service through consistent application of store processes and standards (e.g. cleanliness, pricing integrity, inventory management, and signage)
  • Ensure exceptional store conditions through regular maintenance and the execution of logs (e.g. Temp Logs, Sweep Logs)
  • Ensure department operates within the parameters of the Company’s standards, Health and Safety policies, and merchandising standards.
  • Working closely with all DSD vendors for ordering, merchandizing, receiving, credits.
  • Receiving the DC Warehouse Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  • Ensure all Shrink, Labor, and Sales initiatives are followed.
  • Planogram Execution.
  • P.A.C.E Audit compliance.
  • Able to open/close the store as required (Key holder)
  • Ensure that all SAP processes are followed on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of food retail experience.
  • Available to work days, evenings, weekends.
  • Prior experience managing/leading staff is an asset.
  • Power jack Certification is an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, train, develop, motivate and utilize employees.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
  • Goal and achievement oriented, while being flexible, adaptable and innovative to meet the needs of the business.
  • Knowledge of computer applications including SAP, BOSS, Email, STAS/Persona.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation as it pertains to the retail food industry, i.e. Food Premises Regulation (food safety), Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Employment Standards Act, etc.
