This role ensures BIM data is structured, consistent, and decision-ready, enabling reliable analytics, automation, and lifecycle use across design, engineering, construction, and operations.

Reporting into the Digital Engineering organization, this role serves as the link between BIM execution and enterprise data governance, ensuring BIM models support downstream use cases including reporting, dashboards, digital workflows, data catalogs, and long-term system and asset information management.

Responsibilities

  • Own BIM content libraries, including parameter definitions, naming conventions, and structured data requirements.
  • Establish and carry out BIM data governance, including data quality standards, audits, and compliance to defined schemas.
  • Optimize BIM data structures to support templated design, digital workflows, advanced analytics, dashboards, and digital engineering use cases.
  • Partner with design, engineering, construction, operations, digital, and external partners to ensure BIM data is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose.
  • Enable workflow automation through structured BIM data and standardized content.
  • Support development and deployment of BIM analytics and dashboards that provide actionable project insights, driving improved decision-making, cost reduction, and efficiency across project lifecycles.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to project teams on BIM data standards, templates, and guidelines.

Education, Experience & Technical Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 6–8 years of related experience working with BIM, Virtual Design and Construction, digital engineering, or design data in capital project and/or facility lifecycle environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading BIM standards, templates, and content libraries.
  • Strong proficiency with BIM authoring and coordination platforms (e.g., Revit, Autodesk Forma (ACC), and related BIM tools).
  • Strong understanding of capital project delivery workflows and how BIM data is used across design, construction, handover, and operations.
  • Ability to translate technical data requirements into clear, usable standards and guidelines for project teams.
  • Experience working in large, complex organizations with multiple customers and external delivery partners.

Technical & Digital Skills Preferred

  • Experience defining and leading BIM data schemas, parameters, and metadata structures.
  • Familiarity with BIM analytics, dashboards, and data extraction techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for data validation and audits).
  • Experience with collaboration and data environments (e.g., CDEs, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, or data workflows supporting BIM (e.g., Dynamo, APIs) is a plus.
