How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


 

  •  Project & Design Authority

    • Act as the MI Design Authority for all new capital projects and significant modifications impacting pressure equipment.

    • Conduct and approve technical reviews of detailed engineering designs (e.g. equipment specifications, P&IDs, piping stress analyses) to ensure compliance with company MI standards and applicable codes .

    • Participate in Project Hazard Reviews (e.g. HAZOP) to identify and mitigate integrity risks associated with the design, material selection, and operating conditions of new equipment.

    • Define and approve inspection plans and hold points during fabrication, construction, and installation phases (QA/QC) to ensure equipment is built to specification and code.

  • Operations and Maintenance Support:

    • Ensure all inspection and testing activities meet regulatory and internal requirements.

    • Review and approve detailed repair plans and alteration specifications for pressure equipment in compliance with the relevant codes.

  • Program Management & Strategy:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (like PED, ÜAnlG, BetrSichV)

    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for pressure equipment integrity, providing technical guidance to operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

  • Failure Analysis & Prevention:

    • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for pressure equipment failures and near-misses.

    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future risks.


 

Are you a MATCH?


 

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related technical field.

    • ideally including qualification as welding engineer

  • 10 years of experience directly working in the field of Mechanical Integrity and process equipment

  • Knowledge in Materials, Welding and NDT as well as common damage mechanisms in process facilities (e.g. corrosion under insulation, high-temperature corrosion, fatigue, stress corrosion cracking).

  • Highly self motivated and positive communication skills to obtain cooperation from others

  • Fluent in English and German (or other cluster language)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Technology Expert - Mechanical Integrity (MI) with a specialized focus on the reliability and regulatory compliance of pressure equipment, including vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, and valves. The successful candidate will be the technical authority for developing, implementing, and optimizing our MI program to ensure asset safety, reliability, and compliance with industry codes and internal standards. The perimeter includes plants in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.
