Team/Role Overview
The successful candidate will work in the UK, Europe and MEA Client Project Management Office (PMO) and will play an important role within our Global Client PMO team for the Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) function within our Services business.
In this role the PM will work with a wide range of corporate and financial institution clients, many of which are household names, to help enable their day-to-day banking needs across a broad range of TTS products.
The candidate will have the skills needed to succeed in a fast-paced organisational environment, to manage shifting priorities, to lead the delivery of complex projects and programmes in both a regional and global capacity.
The TTS Client PMO is expected to build and nurture client relationships and maintain highest levels of client experience.
A sample of the complex project types managed by the PMO:
RFP mandate rollouts
Multi-product and multi-country programmes
Pilot rollouts of new product capability
Corporate Restructures (Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures etc)
Highly sensitive client transformation/centralisation programs involving (for example) the redesign and deployment of a client’s treasury or global cash management solution.
The complex projects managed by the PMO require a strong approach to project governance and project risk/issue management. The PMO model involves managing senior stakeholder communication internally and with clients. The successful candidate will have the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels, including senior TTS management and senior client executives.
What you’ll do
Managing large scale, complex multi-regional client projects or large technology infrastructure projects
Establishing appropriate governance model for highly complex projects involving multiple teams on Citi and Client side.
Getting engaged early in the Sales process as required, participating in RFPs and proactive pitches.
Proactively assessing appropriateness of solutions and managing risks across all regions / products / work streams. Ensuring timely escalation and mitigation of the risks to avoid impact to the project delivery.
Developing and maintaining a customized project plan tailored to client’s requirements, outlining deliverables, milestones, critical path items and actions.
Managing scope through change control process, being flexible while setting clear expectations after careful analysis of the scope change.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to department initiatives to implement process enhancements.
What we’ll need from you
Strong client Project Management experience: delivering complex, high profile projects, proactively driving projects to conclusion.
Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills: ability to apply these skills when interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong Leadership skills: ability to build a coherent project team and develop strong partnerships with other organisational areas.
Problem Solving: ability to analyse and solve complex challenges.
Strong work ethic: willingness to take a “hands on” approach to ensuring all elements of the solution are delivered successfully.
Ability to manage competing demands within a pressurised environment.
Corporate treasury and cash management knowledge
Solid Project Management experience.
Post graduate degree.
Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince2).
