Project Manager needed to join our team on a contract basis, here at VML Enterprise Solutions.

The opportunity:

A Project Manager with proven experience who leads teams to deliver high quality projects on budget and within a specified timeframe.   

Experience working in business change and transformation projects and part of large programmes is essential. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Project Management responsibility for the project life cycle in an agile or iterative environment 
• Produce accurate weekly progress reports internally and externally 
• Accurately report on the financial status of the project, tracking time spent and expected forecast to complete. 
• Confidently interact with senior management and business stakeholders providing accurate and credible information. 
• Inspire and lead teams with little project change experience  
• Motivate the team to achieve individual and team objectives  
• Run effective project meetings, including stand-ups, project planning and estimation sessions, showcases and periodic lessons learned sessions   
• Support the efficient flow of work by the team(s), helping them remove obstacles and make improvements so that sprint goals are met. 
• Issues and Risks identification, mitigation, and resolution, seeking advice/support where needed 
• Build customer confidence by understanding their needs and delivering first class solutions  
• Set and manage client expectations, keeping them informed, particularly when resolving issues.  
• Keep up to date with emerging industry practices and focus on improving the delivery processes

What we want from you:

• Proven experience of software development Project Management experience  
• Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, in particular Scrum and Kanban  
• Working knowledge of iterative project delivery 
• Excellent experience and knowledge of business change 
• Demonstrate a good experience of stakeholder engagement and management 
• Experience of business transformation 
• Ability to define, manage and deliver to customer expectations within strict deadlines  
• Experience of leading and managing teams 
• Experience of managing 3rd parties  
• Experience of managing internal teams 
• Good understanding of agile and iterative ways of working 
• Strong time management & organisational skills  
• Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy
