Summary:

OneDigital is looking for a rising college Junior or Senior to intern with our team! Being a part of our JUMPSTART Internship program will give you hands-on experience at one of the nation’s fastest growing strategic advisory firms. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organization recognized as one of Glass Door’s 2023 Best Places to Work!

This 10-week, paid internship will give you hands-on experience at one of the nations’ fastest growing strategic advisory firms. In this program, interns will have a wide variety of responsibilities within multiple departments of OneDigital, focusing on a path to employment upon graduation. This is a summer 2024 opportunity with daily workloads and schedules set by the department Manager or Director. This is a hybrid opportunity with three days based out of our Farmington, CT office and two days remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Departments: Quoting & Analytics Team

  • Assist with summarizing and analyzing carrier proposals

  • Assist with client reporting and analytics

  • Assist in obtaining insurance product rate quotes – medical, dental, life, disability, and voluntary lines - either on-line or through preparation and submission of proposals, from various insurance carriers at the request of benefits consultants, financial consultants, or market analysts

  • Assist with procurement of carrier quotes, initial negotiations and the underwriting process

  • Follow-up with internal departments to ensure timely receipt of required commission disclosures, transparency statements, census data and carrier ratings

  • Complete inputs into standard analytics/claim reporting tools

  • Additional assignments assigned by management

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while meeting or exceeding deadlines

  • Effective written and oral communication skills across a variety of audiences

  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined

  • Strong research and problem-solving skills

  • Positive, upbeat attitude

  • Ability to travel, if needed

Education, Training and Experience:

  • A rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Comfortable working with others in virtual environments

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
